Front End Supervisor – Retail

About the role

The Front End Supervisor will lead the retail floor of our chocolate museum, ensuring an excellent customer experience while managing daily operations. This position combines staff leadership, inventory control, and sales performance in a fast‑paced, visitor‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 5‑10 staff members, including apprentices and seasonal workers.
• Assign duties, create work schedules, and conduct performance reviews.
• Hire, train, and arrange ongoing training for retail personnel.
• Order merchandise, authorize returns, and manage cash handling.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and organize visual displays.
• Prepare sales, merchandising, and personnel reports.
• Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
• Ensure compliance with store policies and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• College, CEGEP or equivalent non‑university diploma (1‑2 years) or comparable experience.
• 3 to 5 years of retail or hospitality experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks such as bending and lifting.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a client‑focused attitude.
• Fluency in English and/or French to meet language requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with iOS devices.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook.
