About the role
The Department of Political Science at McGill University seeks an early‑career scholar for a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor position in International Political Economy. The appointment begins on August 1, 2027 and focuses on quantitative research and teaching.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in International Political Economy.
- Teach the graduate proseminar in International Relations.
- Maintain an active research agenda with a strong quantitative component.

Required profile
- PhD completed or near completion in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated potential for high‑quality quantitative research.
- Evidence of effective teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Commitment to supervising and mentoring a diverse student body.
