Assistant Professor (Clinical) – Rheumatology

About the role

The Department of Medicine at McGill University seeks a full‑time Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology, based at the Jewish General Hospital. The appointment is on the Contract Academic Staff track and focuses on delivering high‑quality patient care, teaching medical trainees, and contributing to scholarly activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient rheumatology services and provide inpatient consultations.
• Develop and formalize a myositis‑cancer clinical service, including care for ICI‑myositis.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows through both didactic sessions and bedside instruction.
• Allocate 65% of time to clinical duties, 25% to teaching, and 10% to research or scholarship.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic committees.

Required profile

• Board‑certified rheumatologist with sub‑specialty expertise in systemic autoimmune diseases.
• Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, including teaching and research.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in Quebec.
