Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical) – Pathology, Gastrointestinal & Liver

About the role

The Department of Pathology at McGill University seeks a full‑time Contract Academic Staff member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical) to join the Division of Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology. This non‑tenure‑eligible position is based at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and supports the department’s teaching, clinical, and research missions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide intra‑operative consultations and on‑call pathology services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and quality‑control/assurance initiatives.
• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in pathology.
• Engage in high‑impact research and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to diagnostic services integrating histologic and molecular disease characterization.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) or equivalent with board certification in pathology.
• Expertise in gastrointestinal and liver pathology.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor trainees.
• Strong record of research productivity and scholarly output.
