Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – Respiratory Medicine

About the role

The Department of Medicine at McGill University is seeking a full‑time Contract Academic Staff member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (Clinical) in the Division of Respiratory Medicine. The successful candidate will join the Clinical‑Teacher or Clinician‑Scientist track, providing patient care for cystic fibrosis and non‑cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis while contributing to teaching and, where applicable, research.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient and inpatient respiratory care for CF and bronchiectasis patients.
• Provide clinical and didactic teaching to medical students, residents and fellows.
• If appointed as Clinician‑Scientist, allocate ~50% of effort to an independent research program and pursue external peer‑reviewed funding.
• Participate in departmental service, including clinical governance and curriculum development.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) with board certification in Respiratory Medicine.
• Demonstrated expertise in the management of cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis.
• Strong commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and (for research track) a record of scholarly activity.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in Quebec.
