Assistant Manager – Restaurant

About the role

The Fish Place is seeking a proactive Assistant Manager to support daily restaurant operations and drive profitability. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth service, staff performance, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze budget and monitor revenues to control labour costs.
  • Plan, organize, and evaluate daily restaurant operations.
  • Set staff work schedules, supervise and train team members.
  • Balance cash, complete balance sheets and cash reports.
  • Conduct performance reviews and cost products/services.
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Participate in marketing plan development and implementation.

Required profile

  • Accurate and detail‑oriented.
  • Strong client focus and excellent oral and written communication.
  • Dependable, reliable and flexible.
  • Organized with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Team player who can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina for standing long periods and handling heavy loads.
