Assistant General Manager - Fitness Club

About the role

Equinox, a luxury health, wellness and hospitality operator, is hiring an Assistant General Manager for its Toronto club. The role helps ensure smooth and efficient operations across all departments so the club can deliver the highest level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Help the General Manager facilitate delegated projects and responsibilities.
• Train and supervise the Front Desk, Housekeeping and M.O.D. managers.
• Manage inventory control, payroll budget, daily bank deposits, shift coverage and general club maintenance.
• Educate staff on proper company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• 3-6 years of management experience in a customer-facing, professional setting.
• Knowledge of the fitness industry.
• Proven ability to drive revenue.
• Experience hiring, directing and training staff.
• Must have a legal right to work in Canada.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Time management and follow-up skills.
• Financial management experience.
