About the role
The Assistant Front Store Manager supports the Front Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, staff, and financial performance of a Shoppers Drug Mart location. This role ensures a seamless flow of products from backroom to sales floor while keeping the customer experience at the forefront.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain store standards to optimize customer experience and drive traffic.
- Collaborate with the management team to enforce standards 100% of the time, including backroom organization.
- Assist in labour scheduling and use Work Force Management tools to maximize productivity.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for efficient store operation.
- Comply with Human Resources standards and support hiring for all departments except Pharmacy.
- Administer wages within company guidelines and promote a positive culture aligned with core values.
Required profile
- Strong planning, judgement, and decision‑making abilities.
- Experience with inventory management and expense control.
- Effective leadership, mentorship, and staff development skills.
- Excellent time‑management, prioritisation, and organisational capabilities.
