Asphalt Roller Operator – Seasonal Full‑Time

About the role

Join A & A Paving Ltd. as an Asphalt Roller Operator on a seasonal full‑time basis. You will work outdoors on various road construction sites around Calgary, ensuring high‑quality asphalt finishing and road surface compaction.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as rollers, compactors, pavers, bulldozers, bobcats, scrapers and asphalt spreaders.
• Perform pre‑operational checks, clean, lubricate and refill equipment tanks.
• Communicate with team members using two‑way radios and other communication tools.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and safety checks.
• Adhere to site safety protocols and conduct driving record checks.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in asphalt finishing, road construction, or related heavy‑equipment work.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
• Availability to work evenings, mornings, days, weekends and overtime as required.
• Possession of a WHMIS certificate.
