Applications Engineering Specialist

About the role

As an Applications Engineering Specialist you will work closely with the sales team and customers to create automation concepts that win new business. You will analyse production processes, design mechanical solutions, and prepare professional quotations that meet customer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow sales processes to develop detailed quotations and secure business.
• Review customer requirements, production processes and propose efficient automation solutions.
• Develop mechanical design concepts and estimate bill of materials at cell and station levels.
• Coordinate with suppliers, internal engineering and support accurate costing.
• Present and explain concepts, budgets and quotations to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Contribute to improving tools, standards and processes within the engineering team.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to evaluate production processes and propose improvements.
• Experience collaborating with sales, customers and suppliers.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
