Alumni Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Alumni Volunteer Engagement Coordinator will lead the planning, execution and evaluation of alumni volunteer programs for UBC Sauder’s Development and Alumni Engagement team. Reporting to the Manager of Alumni Volunteer and Student Engagement Programs, you will connect alumni with meaningful opportunities that support students, academic initiatives and recruitment goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, coordinate and deliver alumni volunteer initiatives aligned with the school’s strategic priorities.
• Manage day‑to‑day volunteer operations, including processing a high volume of requests and matching alumni to appropriate projects.
• Collaborate with faculty, student services and recruitment teams to identify volunteer needs.
• Track program metrics, prepare reports and recommend improvements for continuous enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, alumni engagement strategies and institutional standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in alumni relations, development, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating volunteer or community‑engagement programs.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
