Workday Specialist – HR Technology

About the role

OPTrust is seeking a highly skilled Workday Specialist to join its People and Communications team in Toronto. You will help design, configure, and maintain Workday solutions that automate and streamline HR processes across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Workday configuration for HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, and Recruiting modules.
• Own reporting and security settings within these domains.
• Design, configure, and maintain Workday business processes and system configuration.
• Collaborate with the People Team and other departments to implement and optimize Workday solutions.
• Provide guidance on how upstream configurations impact payroll outcomes, especially for Workday Payroll Canada.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Workday Specialist or similar HR technology role.
• Strong understanding of Workday HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, and Recruiting modules.
• Experience with Workday Payroll (Canada) is an asset.
• Ability to build relationships across multiple business units.
• Reports to the Senior Manager, HR Technology and Operations and works within a small specialist team.
