About the role
We are seeking an experienced legal professional to teach the Advocacy course (PRAC 200) at McGill University's Faculty of Law for the Fall 2026 term. The instructor will guide undergraduate law students in developing oral and written advocacy skills.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver weekly lectures and workshops on legal advocacy.
- Prepare course materials, case studies, and assessment tools.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, presentations, and exams.
- Coordinate with the Student Affairs Office regarding scheduling changes.
- Provide feedback and mentorship to support student development.
Required profile
- A first degree in law (LL.B. or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Several years of significant legal practice or professional experience in advocacy.
- Prior experience teaching undergraduate law students, preferably in a bilingual environment.
