About the role

Prof. Sébastien Jodoin is hiring two part‑time research assistants for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The assistants will support an applied project on climate‑related litigation and the impacts of climate change on people with disabilities in the Montreal region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal and policy research and write analysis in English and French.
• Collect, code, and analyze qualitative or quantitative data, depending on the position.
• Co‑author research publications and provide editing and formatting support.
• Develop briefing materials for policymakers and community stakeholders.
• Present research findings at conferences or meetings in Canada or abroad.

Required profile

• Excellent legal analysis and writing skills in both English and French.
• Strong oral communication, deadline management, and attention to detail.
• Initiative, sound judgment, and collaborative interpersonal skills.
• For one position: fluency in French and experience with qualitative research methods, especially coding interviews.
• For the other position: experience with quantitative research methods.
