About the role
The Kingstonist is a fast‑paced, community‑driven media outlet covering news, arts, culture and local events in Kingston, Ontario. We are seeking an enthusiastic Advertising Sales Representative who can hit the ground running and help local businesses thrive through effective advertising solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for connecting people and brands.
Key responsibilities
- Adapt to a flexible schedule; the role is full‑time but hours may vary with industry demands.
- Work independently and efficiently while taking direction from the Business Manager.
- Deliver excellent communication and interpersonal service to clients and colleagues.
- Meet sales and project deadlines consistently.
- Travel throughout the Kingston market to meet clients and attend events.
Required profile
- Background in marketing, business or news media is preferred.
- Experience in advertising sales is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of WordPress is a plus.
- Familiarity with Kingston and its local community is desirable.
