About the role
Associated Ambulance is seeking qualified Advanced Care Paramedics to join the Athabasca station. This permanent full-time role follows a balanced 4-on/4-off 12-hour shift pattern, providing essential pre-hospital care to the community.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions to determine injury or illness severity and immediate care needs.
- Administer pre-hospital emergency medical care, including patient stabilization for transport.
- Monitor vital signs, check blood glucose, and perform other diagnostic procedures.
- Collaborate with emergency medical personnel, communications officers, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Required profile
- Valid Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) practice permit for Alberta.
- Alberta Class IV driver’s licence, current and valid.
- Successful completion of the F.A.R.E certification.
- Current mandatory training such as Medical Communications Protocol (MCP) and Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC).
What we offer
- Retention incentive: $5,000 after 1 year, $12,000 after 2 years, $17,000 after 3 years.
- Upcoming orientation sessions in August, October and December 2026.
