Primary Care Paramedic – Full-Time & Temp – Athabasca

About the role

Associated Ambulance is seeking qualified Primary Care Paramedics to join the Athabasca Station. The position offers both permanent full‑time and temporary full‑time contracts with a predictable four‑days‑on, four‑days‑off shift pattern. Paramedics will provide pre‑hospital emergency care to the community. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering high‑quality mobile healthcare across Alberta.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine injury or illness severity and immediate care needs.
• Administer pre‑hospital emergency medical interventions and stabilize patients for transport.
• Monitor vital signs, blood glucose, and perform diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborate with emergency medical personnel, communications officers, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Valid Primary Care Paramedic practice permit for Alberta.
• Current Alberta Class IV driver’s licence.
• Successful completion of the F.A.R.E certification.
• Up‑to‑date mandatory training, including Medical Communications Protocol (MCP) and Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC).

What we offer
