Advanced Care Paramedic – Permanent Full-Time – 12-Hour Car – Incentive Offered

About the role

Since 1977, Associated Ambulance provides emergency medical services across Alberta. The company is seeking a qualified Advanced Care Paramedic for a permanent full‑time position in Lac La Biche, working a 12‑hour car shift with a four‑days‑on, four‑days‑off schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and determine immediate care requirements.
• Administer pre‑hospital emergency medical care, including patient stabilization for transport.
• Monitor vital signs, assess blood glucose levels, and perform diagnostic procedures.
• Perform advanced life support procedures such as intubation and cardiac pacing.
• Collaborate with emergency medical personnel, communications officers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Valid Advanced Care Paramedic practice permit for Alberta.
• Alberta Class IV driver’s licence.
• Successful F.A.R.E certification.
• Current mandatory training including Medical Communications Protocol and Professional Driver Improvement Course.

What we offer

• Retention incentive: $5,000 after 1 year, $12,000 after 2 years, $17,000 after 3 years.
