About the role

Associated Ambulance is seeking a qualified Primary Care Paramedic to join its Lac La Biche station on a permanent full‑time basis. The role offers a predictable 4‑days‑on/4‑days‑off Coreflex schedule, allowing you to deliver pre‑hospital emergency care to the community while maintaining a balanced work‑life rhythm.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions to determine injury or illness severity and immediate care needs.
• Provide pre‑hospital emergency medical care, including patient stabilization for transport.
• Monitor vital signs, check blood glucose levels, and perform other diagnostic procedures.
• Perform advanced life support interventions such as intubation and cardiac pacing.
• Collaborate with emergency communications officers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Valid ACP Practice Permit meeting Alberta EMS requirements.
• Current Alberta Class IV driver’s licence.
• Successful F.A.R.E. certification.
• Up‑to‑date mandatory training, including Medical Communications Protocol (MCP) and Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC).
