Administrative Services Assistant – Mental Health & Home Health

About the role

The Golden Health Centre is seeking a full‑time Administrative Services Assistant to support its Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) and Home Health programs. This relief position provides essential front‑desk, clerical, and health unit aide support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, organize, and verify data; type correspondence and prepare presentations.
• Schedule and confirm client appointments, manage travel bookings, and maintain records.
• Receive, record, and reconcile cash transactions.
• Maintain and clean medical/surgical supplies, equipment, and resource materials.
• Set up, clean, and dismantle rooms; sanitize toys and equipment.
• Weigh and measure infants, calibrate equipment, and conduct vision screenings.

Required profile

• One year of recent related experience or an equivalent mix of education and training.
• Office administration certificate from a recognized institution.
• Recent (within 48 months) 40+ words‑per‑minute typing test from a recognized provider.
