Administrative Assistant – Community Safety Unit

About the role
The Community Safety Unit is seeking a proactive Administrative Assistant to support the Senior Director. This full‑time hybrid position offers a blend of office and remote work, providing essential administrative services that keep the unit operating smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and maintain daily reports from field offices.
- Process payments, invoices and reconcile expenditures.
- Compile information for expense account reconciliation and prepare petty‑cash reports.
- Order supplies, enter payroll data in the WTES system, and manage Freedom of Information requests.
- Lead document‑retention schedule management and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
- Prepare memos, letters, reports, statistical summaries, minutes and other documents using Microsoft Office applications.
- Coordinate delivery of work products, track follow‑up items for the Senior Director, and undertake special assignments.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal and external inquiries while handling sensitive information confidentially.
