Accounting Technician

About the role

Clearit Canada, a customs brokerage platform within the Freightos Group, is looking for an Accounting Technician to manage the books of three fast‑growing companies. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day transaction processing, financial reporting, and compliance for both US and Canadian entities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inter‑company transactions across multiple currencies.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close activities, including accruals, prepaid, deferred revenue, fixed assets, and transfer pricing.
• Prepare and file monthly VAT, labor, and corporate tax reports and support annual tax return preparation.
• Perform bank and credit‑card reconciliations and generate daily/monthly sales, AR aging, and duty payable reports.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to provide billing reconciliation support.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience covering AP, AR, journal entries, GL, inter‑company accounts, and multi‑currency handling.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and platforms.
• Strong organization, speed, accuracy, and excellent written communication.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, analyze information and suggest solutions.
