Accounting Manager

Our client, a leading mid‑sized public accounting practice in Canada, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its Assurance Group in Toronto. Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of financial statements in accordance with Canadian auditing standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and review working papers, financial statements and related reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and provide tax planning support for clients.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements for audit and accounting efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and deliver exceptional service throughout engagements.
• Mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Stay current with industry developments, regulatory changes and best practices.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet deadlines.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, offering insights and recommendations.
• Support management in developing client relationships and business opportunities.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of Canadian public accounting experience.
• CPA designation (or equivalent international designation with relevant auditing experience).
• Strong documentation and file‑management skills.
• Deadline‑oriented mindset with effective time‑management abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and professionalism in client interactions.
• Commitment to teamwork, leadership and continuous learning.
