About the role
The Accounting Manager will lead a team of property accounting professionals to deliver accurate and timely financial information for BGO Properties' portfolio. This hybrid role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on supervision to support property budgeting, cash‑flow management, and financial reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Directly supervise 3–4 property accounting staff, ensuring efficient daily operations.
- Oversee annual activities such as property budgets, cash‑flow forecasting, cost‑recovery adjustments, property taxes and audits.
- Manage monthly processes including month‑end close, cash‑flow monitoring and financial reporting.
- Review all accounting activities for compliance with GAAP, client policies and deadlines.
- Resolve conflicts, make decisions, and provide guidance to staff and internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with site staff, leasing teams, management and clients to deliver responsive accounting services.
- Plan and monitor timing of annual and monthly deliverables, ensuring timely completion.
Required profile
- Proven experience supervising property accounting or similar finance teams.
- Strong leadership, decision‑making and mentoring abilities.
- In‑depth knowledge of GAAP and property‑related financial processes.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with staff, management and clients.
