Senior Underwriter – Management Liability

About the role

Zurich Canada is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Management Liability to join its Financial Lines team in Vancouver. You will underwrite and grow a portfolio of complex commercial management liability risks while building strong broker and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal management liability business within delegated authority, focusing on technically complex accounts.
• Assess and price risks using Zurich’s underwriting tools, ensuring alignment with strategy and risk appetite.
• Structure coverage, terms and conditions to meet customer needs and drive profitable growth.
• Develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of opportunities 90–120 days before market.
• Collaborate with internal partners such as claims, risk engineering and other underwriting teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of underwriting or market‑facing experience (or alternative combinations of experience and education as listed).
• Knowledge of the management liability line of business, legal and regulatory guidelines, and quote time‑restrains.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
