Accounting & Controlling Internship – Accounts Receivable

About the role

This internship offers hands‑on experience in accounting and controlling within Siemens Energy's Grid Technology division. You will support the accounts receivable team by ensuring accurate GR/IR reconciliations, journal postings, and month‑end documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and adjust GR/IR accounts by matching goods receipts with supplier invoices.
• Clear discrepancies, investigate aged or unusual variances, and coordinate with Purchasing, Receiving, and AP.
• Post journal entries, validate payment applications, and review AR aging.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support month‑end readiness.
• Prepare reports, manage accounts receivable, and perform clerical filing duties.

Required profile

• Studies in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Knowledge of GR/IR reconciliation, accruals, and invoice matching procedures.
• Strong ownership mindset and accountability for audit‑ready records.

Required skills

• Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).
• ERP system SAP/R3.
