Accounting Bookkeeper

About the role

MB Enterprises is looking for an Accounting Bookkeeper to manage and maintain financial records, prepare payroll, handle tax returns and carry out other accounting tasks. The position is based at the head office in Toronto, Ontario.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
• Keep financial records and balance accounts using manual and computerized systems
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Post journal entries
• Prepare statistical, financial and accounting reports
• Prepare tax returns and trial balance of books
• Reconcile accounts

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance
• English

Required skills

• Accounting software: QuickBooks, Caseware/Caseview
• Office software: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows
• Database software: MS Office, spreadsheets
