Accountant – Finance Team (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Accountant to join our finance team in Mississauga. Reporting to the Controller, you will maintain accurate financial records, support month‑end close and contribute to budgeting, reporting and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close tasks, including journal entries, accruals and reporting support.
• Perform financial analysis and variance reporting for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Provide backup for AR and AP teams, covering absences and cross‑training.
• Assist with budget and forecast uploads into Long View.
• Support audits, compliance documentation and internal control processes.
• Prepare month‑end reports for Domtar and Long View.
• Manage new vendor setup and updates in SAP.
• Handle additional finance and administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Actively pursuing CPA designation.
• 2+ years of accounting or finance experience (preferred).
• Experience with audits and internal controls.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
• Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP/accounting systems (preferred).
