Workshop Coordinator (Detailer)

About the role

The Aviva AutoCare Centre, a collision repair facility in Mississauga, is looking for a Workshop Coordinator (Detailer) to join its daily operations. The role covers the final cleaning, preparation and presentation of vehicles after body, paint and structural repairs, ensuring each car is returned to the customer in pre-accident or better condition.

Key responsibilities

• Perform final cleaning on vehicles after body and paint repairs
• Vacuum and clean interior areas affected by repair work, and wipe down panels, glass and surfaces
• Carry out final walk-around inspections to spot imperfections before delivery
• Assist with masking, prepping or protecting interiors and exteriors before repairs if required
• Move vehicles between departments, stalls and parking areas
• Keep the detailing area, tools, towels and equipment clean
• Help the workshop lead with cleanliness, organization and production flow
• Follow safety protocols for chemicals, coatings and shop equipment

Required profile

• Experience in automotive detailing is preferred, especially in a collision repair environment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Able to stand, bend or lift up to 50 lbs. during a shift
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and efficiency in fast-paced environments
• Good communication with production and management teams, and time management to meet delivery deadlines

Required skills

• Understanding of cleaning chemicals, compounds, waxes and polishing tools
• Ability to identify defects in paint and bodywork

• Salary range of $40,000 to $55,000, depending on knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity
