Validation Engineer

About the role

As a Validation Engineer you will join the Managed Services department, working closely with a multinational client to ensure next‑generation non‑volatile NAND memory products meet design requirements. This hybrid position involves three days on‑site in South Vancouver and two days remote, offering a fast‑paced environment for a junior engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to development, validation, and optimization of SSD product lines.
• Detect test failures, perform triage, create defect reports and ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in peer code reviews and defect management.
• Validate SSD firmware and NVMe features on complex embedded multi‑core architectures.
• Collaborate with Firmware Engineers to optimize high‑performance firmware and software.
• Provide clear status updates to domain leads and report suspected firmware issues.
• Use diagnostics and debugging tools to analyze design bugs.
• Represent the team in monthly and quarterly meetings with client representatives.

Required profile

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Eager to learn and open to feedback.

Required skills

• Programming experience in C/C++ and Python.
• Proficiency with Git or similar source‑control systems.
• Understanding of ASIC architecture and code optimization.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Suite or similar project‑management tools.
• Solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals.
