Senior Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

Corinex is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop next‑generation smart‑grid communication devices. You will work on low‑level embedded Linux software, from board bring‑up and BSP development through system integration, debugging, validation and production support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software for Linux‑based communication devices.
• Create and maintain Board Support Packages (BSPs), bootloaders (U‑Boot), Device Tree and kernel configurations.
• Perform new board bring‑up, hardware‑software integration and system‑level debugging using JTAG, UART, GDB and OpenOCD.
• Develop, configure and maintain Linux kernel components and device drivers.
• Support embedded networking functions, including Ethernet, VLAN, IP routing, TCP/UDP and multicast.
• Build and maintain Embedded Linux images with Yocto/OpenEmbedded/BitBake.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers during schematic review, board validation and product bring‑up.
• Write scripts and automation tools for build, flashing, testing and manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software, firmware or Embedded Linux development.
• Strong C programming skills and solid understanding of low‑level programming concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux kernel development, device drivers and BSP creation.
• Proven experience in board bring‑up, hardware‑software integration and bootloader configuration.
• Ability to debug complex system‑level issues using UART, JTAG and related tools.
