Senior Backend Developer

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new internal and client‑facing systems and features to support automated delivery of renewable energy intelligence.
• Build and integrate AI‑powered features and tools that enhance productivity and experience for customers.
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing analytics features.
• Collaborate with product management and team leadership to scope and size upcoming projects.

Required profile

• Passionate about Clir’s core values of communication, sustainability, inclusion, impact, and innovation.
• Highly experienced in backend software development, building and maintaining scalable, fault‑tolerant SaaS products.
• Interested in or experienced with building AI‑powered features and products.
• Excited to join a rapidly expanding team improving renewable energy management.

• Comfortable handling multiple competing priorities and tackling hard questions with curiosity.

Required skills

• Experience building AI‑powered features, including integrating LLMs, ML models, or intelligent automation into production systems.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable, fault‑tolerant SaaS products.
• Strong backend development skills with familiarity across the full stack.
• Familiarity with effective agile and software development practices.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
