Training Lead

About the role

The Training Lead will shape and scale the enterprise IT learning strategy for a Canada‑based organization. Reporting to senior IT leadership, you will define the vision, standards, and governance for all training programs that support complex technology platforms and enterprise applications.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive IT training strategy aligned with business and digital transformation goals.
• Establish governance, standards, and methodologies to ensure consistent, high‑quality training delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of training professionals, managing performance and capability building.
• Design, develop, and deliver training programs for enterprise systems and applications.
• Conduct training needs analyses to create user‑centered learning solutions.
• Partner with IT leaders, business stakeholders, and vendors to align training initiatives with operational requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement by integrating new learning technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in training and development, preferably in enterprise or technology‑driven environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing enterprise training teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field; CTDP or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Strong foundation in instructional design, adult learning theory, and training methodologies.
