Technical Lead

About the role

Join TELUS Digital as a Technical Lead within the Integration Systems team. You will bridge business needs and technical solutions, translating user stories into functional requirements and ensuring seamless delivery of web services and APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Translate user stories and business needs into clear functional requirements and technical specifications.
• Design web service interfaces and produce detailed API specifications, covering operations, request/response structures, and edge‑case handling.
• Investigate, test, and triage defects; coordinate and plan releases for integration systems.
• Act as the connective tissue between technical and non‑technical teams, facilitating discussions and keeping work moving forward.
• Produce assessments and estimates covering scope, assumptions, risks, and effort for planning and resourcing.
• Champion data integrity and customer experience, identifying opportunities for process and performance improvements.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver shared objectives.

Required profile

• 7+ years building and supporting applications on a BSS/OSS COTS platform (e.g., NetCracker).
• 5+ years developing complex enterprise applications.
• 5+ years hands‑on experience with core Java and performance‑tuned PL/SQL queries.
• 3+ years building REST APIs and working with cloud‑based development.
• Solid grasp of microservices architecture principles.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
