System Administrator – VIP Service Desk

About the role

The Infrastructure & Operation Division is creating a dedicated VIP Service Desk to provide premium, appointment‑based IT support for executives and senior leadership. As a System Administrator you will be the primary technical point of contact for these high‑priority users, ensuring rapid, reliable service and proactive issue management.

Key responsibilities

• Install, monitor, upgrade and maintain operating systems, hardware and software across VIP environments.
• Provide white‑glove support (in‑person, remote, and scheduled appointments) for all IT‑related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network and mobile device problems with urgency.
• Proactively monitor VIP user environments to prevent service disruptions.
• Coordinate and escalate incidents with internal IT teams, third‑party vendors, and service providers.
• Track, document and manage incidents and service requests using the departmental ITSM tool.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding of VIP users, including equipment setup and security compliance.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives for VIP support services.

Required profile

• Secret security clearance and bilingual ability (English/French).
• At least 5 years of recent experience working with business analysts, project managers, developers and stakeholders to improve software performance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience installing, monitoring, upgrading and maintaining operating systems.
