Site Supervisor

About the role

Broch Builders Inc., a fast‑growing owner‑operated home builder in Calgary, is seeking a hands‑on Site Supervisor to manage day‑to‑day construction activities across multiple residential and multi‑unit projects. Reporting directly to ownership, you will ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet all code requirements from excavation through substantial completion.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work aligns with approved plans, specifications, and the Alberta Building Code/NBC (Alberta Edition).
• Schedule and coordinate trades and subcontractors to keep builds on track.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality‑control audits at each construction milestone.
• Maintain job‑site safety and OH&S compliance, proactively identifying hazards.
• Track progress against the master schedule, flagging delays, deficiencies, or budget risks.
• Liaise with municipal inspectors and manage permit/inspection scheduling.
• Keep sites clean, organized, and secure, and maintain daily logs with photos for progress‑draw reporting.
• Coordinate material deliveries to match the construction schedule and support deficiency resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years supervising residential or multi‑unit construction sites in Alberta.
• Strong knowledge of the Alberta Building Code and NBC (Alberta Edition).
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage several active sites independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for daily logs and stakeholder coordination.
• Valid driver’s licence.
