Site Superintendent – Construction Management

About the role

CGI Constructors is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects in Vancouver. The role involves overseeing site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating with the project management team and various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong health and safety culture and act as the site safety leader.
• Manage overall site logistics, coordination of trades, materials, inspections, and commissioning.
• Develop and track look‑ahead schedules, monitor progress, and ensure subcontractors meet commitments.
• Identify constructability issues, address discrepancies in construction documents, and manage budget and schedule constraints.
• Prepare and maintain project and safety reports, documentation, timecards, and photographic records.

Required profile

• 5+ years of construction management experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of trade disciplines, safety regulations, CCDC contracts, and building codes.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with budgeting, costing, scheduling, risk management, and profitability.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines while maintaining safety and quality.

Required skills

• Procore construction management software.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• WHMIS certification.
