Sessional Instructor – Psychology (Winter 2027)

About the role

The Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary seeks qualified sessional instructors to teach the Winter 2027 offering of PSYC 493 – Psychology and Law. Instructors will deliver in‑person lectures, guide student learning, and contribute to the academic community during the January‑April term.

Key responsibilities

• Present weekly lectures for PSYC 493 (Tuesday & Thursday, 3:30 PM‑4:45 PM).
• Prepare and update course materials, including slides and reading lists.
• Design, administer, and grade assignments, exams, and other assessments.
• Hold regular office hours to support student inquiries.
• Maintain academic standards and adhere to university policies.

Required profile

• PhD in Psychology.
• Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate psychology courses at a university level.
• Ability to communicate complex legal‑psychological concepts clearly.
