Registered Early Childhood Educator – Beehive Program

About the role

Compass Early Learning and Care is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator for its Beehive Program in Campbellford, Ontario. This permanent, full‑time position (40 hours per week) begins on 8 September 2026 and involves delivering play‑based learning within program hours of 6 am‑6 pm, Monday‑Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and lead interest‑based, play‑based activities that support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional and social development.
• Maintain active supervision while engaging in play and ensure a safe, healthy environment.
• Document children’s learning progress through observation, reflection and research questions.
• Assist children with diapering, dressing and eating routines.
• Build strong relationships with families and involve them in the learning process.
• Collaborate with coworkers, families and community partners to create a supportive environment.
• Participate in team meetings, professional learning and staff training.
• Perform housekeeping duties and follow CELC, CCEYA and Ministry of Education policies.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience working with children and youth.
• Familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.
• Valid Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid, CPR Level C and up‑to‑date immunization records.
• High School Diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years of age at start of employment.
