Service Technician Helper

About the role

Join one of Western Canada’s leading window and door manufacturers as a Service Technician Helper. You will work alongside experienced Service Technicians to repair exterior doors and PVC windows, ensuring high‑quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Load service vehicle with required parts for each call.
• Review daily run sheets and prioritize scheduled jobs.
• Repair and adjust exterior doors and PVC window units.
• Assist with re‑glazing PVC windows and set up scaffolding.
• Maintain clean job sites during and after work.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
• Follow health and safety regulations, wearing required protective equipment.
• Occasionally stay overnight for out‑of‑town assignments.

Required profile

• High school diploma; trade school education in the building industry (e.g., SAIT or NAIT) is preferred.
• First Aid, Fall Protection and WHMIS training are assets.
• 1+ years of experience in construction, window/door repair, or installation.
• Experience handling glass and using hand tools.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Glass handling techniques.
• Knowledge of window and door components, parts, and terminology.
• Ability to work with both metric and imperial measurements.
• Scaffolding setup and safe work practices.
