Framer/Carpenter – Construction Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Framer/Carpenter to join our Edmonton team, delivering high‑quality structural work for residential and commercial projects. The position involves preparing cost estimates, interpreting detailed plans, and constructing building components on‑site while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate labour and material cost estimates for each project.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely progress.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and site supervisors.
