Senior Procurement Specialist – Edmonton

About the role

Worley Canada Construction is looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead procurement activities for complex project scopes in Edmonton. You will manage the full procurement lifecycle, from RFQ issuance to purchase order execution and close‑out, ensuring commercial alignment and risk mitigation across engineered equipment, bulk materials, and indirect purchases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement for assigned project scopes, aligning with schedule, budget and execution strategy.
• Develop sourcing strategies for engineered equipment, bulk permanent materials and indirect procurement.
• Mentor junior buyers and act as the primary procurement interface with project, engineering and construction teams.
• Review material requisitions, prepare and issue RFQ/RFP documentation.
• Source, evaluate and recommend suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery criteria.
• Prepare, issue and manage complex purchase orders and agreements, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks, manage change orders, claims and deviations.
• Administer purchase orders to support invoicing, financial controls and close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Significant experience in procurement within EPC/EPF or construction environments.
• Proven negotiation and supplier‑strategy expertise.
• Strong cross‑functional coordination skills with project management, engineering and construction teams.
• Ability to manage commercial risk, scope gaps and cost escalation.
