Senior DevOps Engineer – GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, AWS (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The role is fully remote within Canada and focuses on GitLab CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, observability, and AWS services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
• Containerize applications with Docker and oversee their lifecycle.
• Deploy, manage, and scale workloads on Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Configure and operate core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Set up monitoring, logging, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch.
• Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and reliability of production systems.
• Apply security best practices, including secrets management and compliance controls.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues across environments.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and cloud teams to improve release cycles.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in DevOps engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
