Senior Developer

About the role

Foundant Labs is looking for a senior‑level engineer who thrives in a fast‑moving, hypothesis‑driven environment. You will build real, interactive prototypes, run rapid experiments, and help shape product direction for mission‑driven organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop working prototypes that users can interact with, not just mockups.
• Launch fast experiments, gather user feedback quickly, and make data‑driven decisions.
• Work across the full stack – frontend, backend, and APIs – without being limited by layer boundaries.
• Contribute ideas and influence product strategy, not only implementation details.
• Share early work, learn openly, and pivot when evidence suggests a better direction.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineering experience with a broad technical range.
• Comfortable working from a hypothesis rather than a detailed specification.
• Bias toward speed and the ability to recognize when “good enough” is sufficient.
• Genuine curiosity about user behavior and the willingness to detach from one’s own work when evidence points elsewhere.
• Fluent with AI‑assisted development, having built workflows using tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
