IT Support and Systems Analyst

About the role

The Liberal Party of Canada is looking for an IT Support and Systems Analyst to join its National office in Ottawa. The role provides technical support to employees and volunteers nationwide while ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the Party’s IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level IT support to employees and volunteers across Canada.
• Facilitate onboarding and off‑boarding, including account provisioning, hardware deployment and access management.
• Deploy and maintain operating system and application updates to keep systems secure.
• Monitor and maintain cloud‑based infrastructure (Azure, AWS) and related services.
• Assist with cybersecurity operations such as vulnerability management and security awareness programs.
• Create and maintain documentation and an accurate inventory of IT assets.
• Ensure disaster‑recovery plans are tested and up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of technical support experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Hybrid cloud environments – Azure and AWS.
• Networking fundamentals, VPN, identity and access management, endpoint management, data backup and recovery.
• SQL – basic query execution and troubleshooting.
• PowerShell scripting (basic).
• Cybersecurity best practices, patch and vulnerability management, cloud security principles.
