Senior Backend Distributed Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Distributed Systems Engineer to design, build, and maintain highly available services that power large‑scale, data‑intensive applications. You will work closely with infrastructure, platform, and AI/ML teams to deliver reliable, scalable backend solutions in a cloud‑native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate highly available backend services for large‑scale distributed systems.
• Build and optimise distributed data platforms using Redis Cluster and StarRocks.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud‑native applications on Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and resource utilisation through automation and tooling.
• Implement observability solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, and AI/ML engineering teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production distributed environments.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in distributed production systems.
• Solid understanding of operating systems, networking, system calls, and cloud‑native architectures.

Required skills

• Expertise in distributed systems and distributed databases.
• Hands‑on experience with Redis Cluster.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
• Advanced programming in Python.
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for observability.
• Familiarity with C++ and high‑performance backend development (preferred).
• Knowledge of distributed caching, storage engines, and data‑intensive applications (preferred).
