Senior Network Security Architect

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior Network Security Architect to lead the strategy, architecture, and governance of its global network security infrastructure across enterprise, cloud, manufacturing, data centre and remote access environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise network security architecture vision, standards and multi‑year roadmap.
• Design and modernise security platforms including Zero Trust, SASE, SD‑WAN, firewalls and DDoS protection.
• Architect secure connectivity for Azure, AWS and hybrid cloud environments.
• Develop secure network designs for manufacturing and OT sites, applying ISA‑95 and IEC 62443 standards.
• Lead architecture reviews, mentor engineers and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001 and PCI‑DSS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 12+ years of enterprise networking and security experience, including 5+ years in architectural or principal engineering roles.
• Proven experience designing large‑scale security architectures for global organisations.

Required skills

• Zero Trust Architecture, SSE/SASE platforms, SD‑WAN.
• Next‑Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point).
• Network Detection & Response (NDR) solutions.
• Cloud security for Azure and AWS, including ExpressRoute and Direct Connect.
• OT security standards (ISA‑95, IEC 62443) and segmentation.
• Security automation, Infrastructure‑as‑Code and AI‑driven analytics.
