Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead full‑cycle accounting for a growing manufacturing business operating in Canada and the United States. The role will partner closely with operations, ownership, and senior leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting, inventory and cost accounting, and audit coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes for multiple entities, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements in accordance with ASPE, including intercompany eliminations.
• Manage inventory accounting for raw materials, work‑in‑progress and finished goods, conduct cycle counts and investigate variances.
• Analyze manufacturing cost variances, support costing processes and provide profitability and margin analysis.
• Coordinate annual audits, prepare supporting schedules and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Maintain strong internal controls, recommend process improvements and support special projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA certification.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
