Senior Accountant - Shared Services

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing. Monitor cash flow, prepare weekly AR reviews, and process vendor payments.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, conduct P&L reviews, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Lead the month‑end closing process, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, and ensure accurate financial records.
• Process semi‑monthly payroll, remit payroll taxes, and collaborate with the People & Culture team on payroll updates.
• Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process, providing financial insights and recommendations.
• Prepare working papers for audits, manage tax filings, and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Assess internal controls, recommend improvements, and mentor junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance.
• Experience with multi‑entity operations across various countries is a plus.
• Nice to have: experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor, Sage 50) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
