Second Cook – Rotational Position on Floatel Vessel

About the role

Join Bridgemans as a Second Cook on the MV Saga, a floating accommodation vessel operating out of Squamish, BC. This full‑time rotational role offers 28 days on‑board followed by 14 days off, an hourly wage of CAD 23.34, and extended health benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑volume buffet and Grab‑&‑Go meals according to the menu.
• Oversee the Third Cook in vegetable, salad, garnish, and raw meat preparation.
• Prepare and package sandwiches and reheatable micro‑meals, supervising the Third Cook.
• Assist with galley cleaning, equipment maintenance, and organization of chillers and freezers.
• Support the storekeeper with inventory management of dry, cool, and frozen provisions.

Required profile

• Culinary diploma or equivalent experience; FoodSafe Level I preferred.
• Minimum 2 years progressive cooking experience in high‑volume production or banquet kitchens.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
• Pass pre‑employment drug & alcohol screen, marine medical exam, and physical‑demand assessment.
• Within six months, obtain MED Domestic Vessel Safety Certificate and Crowd & Crisis Management certificate.
